Partnering with Mercy Ministries
Dear Shelayne,
We are receiving an unprecedented number of calls for help – over 75 new phone calls each day from girls who desperately want to be saved from death (that is over 1500 calls each month). We are so thankful that, because of the generous support of our faithful partners, we are able to help 130 girls at any one given time completely free of charge.
We realize that times are tough right now for so many people, yet many of you have asked me to give you the opportunity to give when we need it most. That is why I am writing today; I am asking for your help.
I know that many of you keep us in your prayers, and we appreciate those prayers. But prayer alone will not get the job done. We need people who will both pray and give.
Let me help you understand how critical the need is. Listen to the words of two young women who are currently on our waiting list:
“I can’t live like this anymore. I don’t want to die. I miss laughing and being silly. I forgot what it’s like to think about something other than bingeing, purging or cutting myself. I want my mind back. I want my sanity back. I want to live for something good and wonderful. I don’t want to die, but I don’t want to be stuck like this forever.” Anna (name changed for privacy)
“I know deep down I want to live. You are my last chance. Please don’t shut the door on me like everyone else has before.” Kim (name changed for privacy)There are so many young women like Anna and Kim who want to find restoration and healing. With your help, we can reach them. What you give today not only provides for the 130 girls currently in our homes, but it also makes a way for girls who are still waiting to be able to come to Mercy.
As I have shared with you before, from time to time we receive word that a young woman on our waiting list has died either from a drug overdose, issues related to an eating disorder, or even from suicide. This is so tragic, and we are asking you to help us make a difference.
We are confident that God will provide for our needs, but we want to make sure that you know we need the help now and to give you the opportunity to respond.
Together, we are making a way for desperate young women to experience God’s love, the only love that can save them and set them free. Please make a donation to Mercy today.
Thank you for your continued support,
Nancy Alcorn

I’m a mercy graduate who graduated from the Nashville home 2 months ago. Mercy Ministries (along with God) saved my life. I’m no longer the anorexic girl who’s severely depressed and cuts herself, but instead am a child of God who knows who I truly am in Christ! I am free and it feels amazing! I just wanted to say thank you for supporting Mercy Ministries because you are giving other young women the opportunity to be able to really experience the freedom that is possible for them! Mercy is truly an amazing place with amazing staff and I still thank God everyday for the opportunity to be able to go there!
